BJP Minority Morcha for unravelling the mystery behind death of AEE Gurmeet
JAMMU, August 31: Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, who was flanked by his team of minority morcha members, expressed solidarity with the family of AEE Gurmeet and emphasised the need for unravelling the mystery behind his death at the earliest.
“I would like to tell you all that we are really perturbed over the ‘mysterious’ death of AEE Gurmeet Singh at Baramulla in Kashmir. He was really a nice person and gentleman to the core. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray for peace to the departed soul. AEE Gurmeet had left house at Baramulla on the evening of Friday but he did not return home after that. His body was recovered on Tuesday from a barrage in Baramulla district which came as a shock for the people of J&K, especially the community members”, said Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, president of J&K BJP Minority Morcha.He assured the family that the BJP minority morcha would stand by them in this hour of grief.
Nalwa said that the horrendous incident that occurred resulting in the death of Gurmeet Singh, needs to be thoroughly probed by a high-level team specially formulated for the investigation and the culprits be booked at the earliest.He also requested the Hon’ble LG of Jammu and Kashmir, Sh. Manoj Sinha, to personally ensure that justice is meted out in the shortest possible time.
Nalwa said that Paramjit Singh, President DGPC Baramulla who had been assisting the family of the deceased as well as the authorities in tracing the deceased, had been continuously in touch with him and had informed him that the authorities had immediately swung into action in trying to trace Gurmeet Singh. Drones and dog squads had also been put to use for the same.While appreciating the role of police department and the administration, Nalwa also thanked members of the local tanzeems for supporting and standing by the family in their time of need.
Nalwa called upon the people of the UT to maintain peace and communal harmony as the efforts of Modi government in bringing peace to Kashmir have begun to yield fruit and at this juncture it is the need of the hour to defeat any nefarious designs of external forces hell bent upon disrupting peace in the region by spreading rumors and misinformation.Others who were present in the press conference included Santokh Singh, General Secretary, Balvinder Singh, V.President, Rajinder Singh Vice President, Jasmeet Kour Advocate V.President, Dr. Surjit Singh chief spokesperson, Farid Ahmed fani
