BJP miserably failed to bring Acche Din for J&K people: Uday Bhanu Chib
Urges people to support Congress in ensuing Assembly polls in J&K
Jammu, August 7: Uday Bhanu Chib, General Secretary of National Youth Congress, today conducted a meeting in Nardani Panchayat, Jammu North Assembly. He interacted with local residents, listening to their concerns and grievances being faced by them in absence of elected Govt in J&K.
The people of the area apprised the senior Congress leader about the lack of basic amenities, which has significantly impacted their quality of life. The public’s dissatisfaction was evident, reflecting a broader sense of disillusionment with the current administration.
In his address, Uday Bhanu Chib said that the BJP Govt at the Centre has failed on all fronts and betrayed their electorate as a result the people of each and every section of the society are suffering and disappointed. He expressed strong criticism of the BJP government, accusing it of failing to deliver on its promise of “Acche Din.” He highlighted that Jammu and Kashmir has emerged as one of the highest in unemployment and corruption rates under the BJP’s governance. The downgrade of J&K from a state to a Union Territory, he argued, has only compounded the problems faced by the residents, stripping them of the benefits and autonomy that come with statehood.
Chib called for the restoration of J&K’s statehood before the upcoming Assembly elections, stressing that such a move would be a critical step towards addressing the region’s issues and fulfilling the aspirations of its people. He emphasized that the current Union Territory status has failed to bring the promised improvements and has instead led to greater discontent among the population.
The senior Congress leader appealed to the people to support Congress in the upcoming elections, adding that Congress is the only party that truly listens to the people’s concerns in J&K. He said that Congress party is fast emerging as the only choice of people because of its progressive policies, democratic and secular values. He said that secularism is the strength of Indian nation and only Congress can lead the J&K and the entire Nation to the path of peace, progress and prosperity by strengthening secular fabric of this country
Uday Chib also met with the grieving family members of a young man who allegedly died due to police torture. He extended his condolences to the family and appealed to the government to provide a government job to one of the family members as a form of support and justice.
