BJP holds workshop on ‘Sangathan Parv’

JAMMU, December 24: BJP is the only political party that follows true internal democracy by holding elections right from the booth level to the level of national president of the party after every 3 years, stated Tarun Chugh.

J&K BJP held a day-long workshop at its party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, on its ongoing ‘Sangathan Parv’ for its second phase under which the organization elections would be held.

Tarun Chugh, national general secretary, BJP & Prabhari J&K BJP, accompanied by Rekha Verma, BJP national vice-President & Prabhari Sangathan Parv-Jammu & Kashmir, Shrikant Sharma, Observer for organizational elections-Jammu & Kashmir, Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP, Dr. Narinder Singh, national secretary BJP & MLA, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition & General Secretary, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Lok Sabha), Er Ghulam Ali Khatana, MP (Rajya Sabha), Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Dy CM, Kavinder Gupta, former Dy CM, J&K BJP, Ravinder Raina, former President, Rakesh Mahjan, Returning Officer, J&K BJP Sangathan Parv and other senior leaders of the party addressed the Sangathan Parv workshop.

Tarun Chugh, while addressing the workshop asked the senior party leaders to meticulously pursue the elections under the Sangathan Parv after the culmination of Active Membership Drive of the party. He stressed that the dedicated party workers should be chosen as the office bearers of the party to strengthen the organization further. He said that in the process of organizational elections, work has to be done based on consent including and involving all. He said that BJP is not a family-oriented party but based on democratic principles.

Rekha Verma appreciated the J&K BJP for the excellent progress in the primary membership and active membership drives so far and said that the national leadership of the party expects similar dedication for the organizational elections under the ‘Sangathan Parv’.

Shrikant Sharma said that he would personally supervise the organizational elections in Jammu & Kashmir. He asked all party leaders to commit themselves to uphold the principle of total internal democracy.

Sat Sharma asked all the party leaders to meticulously conduct all the tasks under the Sangathan Parv in a time-bound manner. He asked the party leaders entrusted with the task of conducting organizational elections to be very fair and unbiased in their approach. He also asked them to adhere to all the guidelines (like age etc) strictly while choosing the right activists for the new assignments.

Ashok Koul prompted the party leaders to share the details of the progress of the ongoing ‘Sangathan Parv’ like primary membership drive, and active membership drive. He also asked them to focus on their ‘Pravas’ to ensure the scrupulous conduct of the task.

Rakesh Mahajan, who conducted the workshop proceedings, assured the senior party leadership that the whole election process under the ongoing ‘Sangathan Parv’ would be conducted meticulously while selecting the dedicated party workers for every official post.
