BJP OBC Morcha organized PM Vishwakarma Yojana Awareness and registration camp in ward 12, Reshamghar Colony, Jammu West

Sunil Prajapati, State President BJP OBC Morcha JK UT, Suresh Salgotra (Vice President BJP OBC Morcha), Atul Bakshi (Mandal President BJP), Ashok Salgotra (District President Jammu BJP OBC Morcha), Sonu Manhas (Ward President), Raj kumar (District Secretary OBC Morcha), Sanjay Verma (Mandal President OBC Morcha), Banti and Jagdish verma were Present bin the Program.

The Program was organised by Suresh Salgotra, Ashok Salgotra and Banti Singh.

Sunil Prajapati said this mega Scheme is meant to promote livelihood opportunities for the people of Other Backward Classes (OBC) and others engaged in traditional skills through PM Vishwakarma yojana.

The scheme aims to strengthen and nurture the Guru Shishya parampara or family based practice of traditional skills by artisans and crafts people working with their hands and tools .

Under PM vishwakarma scheme the Artisans and crafts people will be Provided Recognition certificate  and ID card. Credit Support upto Rs 1 lakh (First Tranche) and Rs.2 lakh (Second Tranche) with a concession in interest rate of 5%.. The Scheme will further provide Skill Upgradation. Toolkit Incentive, Incentive  for Digital Transactions and Marketing Support.

Sunil said, the scheme will provide support to artisans and craftspeople of rural and urban areas across India. Eighteen traditional trades will be covered in the first instance under PM Vishwakarma. These trades include Carpenter (Suthar) Boat Maker,  Armourer Blacksmith (Lohar ) ,Hammer and Tool Kit Maker. Locksmith , Goldsmith (Sonar) , Potter (Kumhaar), Sculptor( Murtikar) , Stone carver. Stone breaker. Cobbler( Charmkar) , Shoesmith/  , Footwear artisan, Mason (Rajmistree), Basket/Mat/Broom Maker Coir Weaver., Doll & Toy Maker.

Atul Bakshi on this occasion said that the scheme also aims at improving the quality, as well as the reach of products and services of artisan and craftspeople and to ensure that the Vishwakarmas are integrated with the domestic and global value chains.
