BJP organized PM Vishwakarma Yojana Awareness and Registration Programme at Bonezaldora in Anantnag district

Anantnag: Sunil Prajapati President BJP OBC Morcha, J&K UT, Adv Syed Wajhat Hussain (Convenior Poonch Rajouri , Anantnag Constituency, Sajjad kumar General Secretary BJP OBC Morcha) Fayaz Ahmed Najar (Vice President BJP OBC Morcha),  Abdul Majeed Bhat (District Secretary BJP), Constituency President Zahoor Ahmad Mir., Mohd Amin Sheikh (District President BJP OBC Morcha) and other leaders were present there while hundreds of people including women’s also participated in the awareness programme.

On the occasion Sunil Prajapati said this mega Scheme is meant to promote livelihood opportunities for the people of Other Backward Classes (OBC) and others engaged in traditional skills through PM Vishwakarma yojana.

The scheme aims to strengthen and nurture the Guru Shishya parampara or family based practice of traditional skills by artisans and crafts people working with their hands and tools .

On this occasion Sunil Prajapati said the scheme also aims at improving the quality, as well as the reach of products and services of artisan and craftspeople and to ensure that the Vishwakarmas are integrated with the domestic and global value chains.

Under PM vishwakarma scheme the Artisans and crafts people will be Provided Recognition certificate and ID card. Credit Support upto Rs 1 lakh (First Tranche) and Rs.2 lakh (Second Tranche) with a concession in interest rate of 5%. The Scheme will further provide Skill Upgradation. Toolkit Incentive, Incentive for Digital Transactions and Marketing Support.

Sunil said, the scheme will provide support to artisans and craftspeople of rural and urban areas across India. Eighteen traditional trades will be covered in the first instance under PM Vishwakarma. These trades include Carpenter (Suthar) Boat Maker,  Armourer Blacksmith (Lohar ) ,Hammer and Tool Kit Maker. Locksmith, Goldsmith (Sonar), Potter (Kumhaar), Sculptor (Murtikar), Stone carver. Stone breaker, Cobbler (Charmkar), Shoesmith, Footwear artisan, Mason (Rajmistree), Basket/Mat/Broom Maker Coir Weaver., Doll & Toy Maker.
