BJP organizes workshop on ‘Dr. Ambedkar Samman Abhiyan’
Jammu 12 April: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir held a workshop on ‘Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Samman Abhiyan’ at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP, Sanjay Nirmal, National General Secretary, BJP SC Morcha, Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP National Secretary & MLA, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), J&K BJP, former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta, and Parmod Kapahi, Abhiyan Incharge for Jammu & Kashmir, addressed the workshop, which was spread in four sessions.
Sat Sharma, in his presidential address, shed light on the life and contributions of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He emphasized the pivotal role played by Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar in the framing of the Indian Constitution. He asked the party activists to connect with the ‘Dalit Aur Pichda Varg’, economically weaker sections and other needy persons in the society to aid them and help them in getting the benefits of the public welfare schemes of the Modi government.
Sanjay Nirmal criticized the Congress for humiliating and backstabbing Dr. Ambedkar and emphasized on the role of BJP in giving Bharat Ratna to Dr. Ambedkar. He said that the Modi government developed ‘PanchTeerath’, including the Dr. Ambedkar National Memorial in New Delhi, to propagate the vision and works of Dr. Ambedkar. Baba Saheb worked for the upliftment of the weaker sections and all the communities which were oppressed, and the neglected. He highlighted the notable contribution of Baba Saheb to ensure the rights of women, SC, OBCs etc.
Dr. Narinder Singh, in his address, laid importance on the complete inclusiveness of Indian Constitution due the efforts of Dr. BR Ambedkar. He said that out of 106 amendments in the Constitutions 75 amendments were carried out by the Congress party for the sake of political gains. At the same time, he stressed that the BJP carried out the much-needed amendments in the interest of the nation and its residents.
Ashok Koul shared the details of programmes to be conducted under the ‘Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Samman Abhiyan’. He asked the senior leaders of the party to observe the programmes at the ground level with the involvement of prominent persons from society especially involving the SC community.
Parmod Kapahi presented the blueprint of the whole Abhiyan before the party leaders. He informed that committees till the Mandal level have been framed and the Abhiyaan tasks are allotted to the senior party leaders. He stressed on the maximum participation of masses in these programmes to make it a public movement.
Abhiyan Committee Members Sanjita Dogra, President of BJP Mahila Morcha, and senior leaders Sanjay Kumar Baru and Rekha Mahajan conducted the proceedings of the workshop.
