BJP pays tributes to martyr Ram Chander Vidyarthi
BJP OBC Morcha led by its President Sunil Prajapati, paid Tributes to Martyr Prajapati Ram Chander Vidyarthi, on his birth anniversary, who laid his life for the Nation on 14 August 1942, at the age of 13 years and 4 months while hoisting the Indian Flag at the office of District Magistrate replacing Crown flag in a bid to intensify the freedom struggle against the British Govt as a part the Quit India Movement struggle.
Pawan Khajuria, Vice-President, J&K BJP, Anju Dogra, State Secretary, Sanjay Baru, senior leader, Dr Pardeep Mahotra, State Media Incharge, Rajinder Singh Chib, senior leader and others were among the senior party leaders to pay tributes to the brave sole.
Pawan Khajuria said that Ram Chander Vidyarthi was born on 01 April 1929 to Shri Babulal Prajapati and Mata Motirani, in the village Nautan Hatiagarh, situated in the Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. He played ardent passion for the cause of freedom movement as early as studying in seventh standard. Mahatma Gandhi had declared quit India Movement on 08 August 1942. A large number of people of District Deoria also participated in masses in the quit India Movement. Ram Chander Vidyarthi who was in 7th class showed great resentment against British Rule and alongwith his three colleges reached the District Headquarter on 14 August 1942 and hoisted the Indian Flag on the top of office of District Magistrate. When after warning, the British Army opened firing. In which Ram Chander Vidyarthi alongwith his three companions martyred for the sake of Nation to make the Quit India Movement a success. In the history, Ram Chander Vidyarthi was the only who laid his life for the Nation as the very young age of 13 years.
Sunil Prajapati stated that in the Memory Ram Chander Vidyarthi and his three colleges, a Pillar has been raised with a plate carved the names of all the four martyrs is fixed there, near the Ram Lila Maidan of Deoria. The name of Ram Chander Vidyarthi is included in the list of the Martyrs of freedom fight with very less age from Purvanchal. It is matter of great pride of the Nation for his great scarification for the sake of Nation in the Freedom struggle.
Prominent among others present on the occasion are Sanjay Bakshi, Suresh Salgotra, Subash Anand, Bal Krishan, Sudesh Kapoor, Parveen Badyal, Rakesh Kumar, Vicky Pandey, Hukam Chand Dogra.
