“BJP promises to develop Doda” Misrule of NC, PDP had pushed Doda towards uncertainty, militancy: Ashok Koul

Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul today said that people of Doda, Bhaderwah and Kishtwar areas have suffered a lot of neglect during previous regimes and during peak of militancy these areas were also underdeveloped. However, abrogation of Article 370 ended that discrimination with people and militancy also stands nailed. He added that a number of BJP workers and common civilians top had sacrificed their lives in these areas due to militancy.

Ashok Koul said time has come to ensure that each and every citizen of Doda and those living in far off places are given their due rights and made to love with better amenities and infrastructure. He was addressing a party workers meeting in support of party candidate from Doda West assembly constituency Shakti Parihar which was also attended by BJP Doda Prabhari and former Deputy Mayor JMC Baldev Singh Billawaria.

Ashok Koul said because of its wrong policies and having given militants a free run, governments that of NC, Congress or PDP had pushed Doda into the oblivion where people were made to fend for themselves and face terrorists atrocities. There were times when entire senior BJP leadership courted arrest only to seek declaring Doda as disturbed region because selective killings had shaken the faith of people in the system.

Now that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have abrogated article 370, given army a free hand, strengthened VDGs and acted swiftly on militants, normalcy stands restored. Young boys and girls of Doda are entering into competitive services, promoting regions culture, participating in political prisoners cesses and becoming part of decision taking institutions. These are healthy signs wherein tourists and traders in large numbers are also descending in Doda adding to its prosperity.

Seeking votes and support for party candidate Shakti Parihar, BJP Doda Prabhari and former Deputy Mayor JMC Baldev Singh Billawaria said that time has come to send credible people in the assembly who could become real voice of people and don’t play with their sentiments like Congress and NC had always been doing.

Shakti Parihar in his address said that he will work for every section of society and ensure that  Doda becomes most sought after district in terms of business, health tourism and pilgrimage. Doda he said had immense potential but precious governments ignored it. It’s because of Narendra Modi that o ace is prevailing and mega infrastructures are giving people better access to even far off places. He highlighted various schemes of Modi government and sought votes for BJP to elect a credible government in J&K.
