BJP regime is against idea of strengthening grass-root democracy: Bhalla
Sarvodaya Sankalp Shivir of elected PRIs of Jammu region at Bermini concludes
JAMMU , April 30, 2023:- Two days training camp (Sarvodaya Sankalp Shivir) organised by RGPRS which is important organ of AICC at Barmini, Jammu concluded.AICC RGPRS vice chairman Harshwardhan sapkal (Former MLA, secretary AICC), JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla, AICC RGPRS Incharge J&K Arvind Bagh, JKPCC GS and Chairman RGPRS J&K Shahnawaz Choudhary , JKPYC President Uday Bhanu Chib, Sh. Jatinder singh chib, NSUI state president Ajay Lakhotra and other senior leaders were present.
The several Elected PRIs of Congress Party including DDC members, BDC chairmans, corporators and sarpanches participated in the long deliberations of two days camp. The ideological of the party, the role of Congress party in building the nation from pre independence of the country up to the present era and false propaganda and lies of historical facts by BJP were discussed in detail participants took pledge to propagate the truth among people at the grass root level.
AICC RGPRS vice chairman Harshwardhan in his address said that Congress worked as per vision of Rajiv Gandhi to decentralize the power and the panchayti raj was implemented in this country by Congress party but this regime believes in centralisation of power and country is witnessing dictatorship. He briefed that RGPRS is going to play a very important role in coming days as, the purpose of this organisation is to find out potential local leadership in the Congress and to trained them to project them as leaders.
JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla in his address said that BJP regime is against the idea of strengthening the grass root democracy and is not giving due benefits to elected PRIs. He said that the present BJP Govt is weakening the panchayat raj in J&K as they have snatched the 15th finance commission funds from PRIs on J&K which is big blow to the people of J&K and there is hundreds of crores liability of MNREGA funds, as people in J&K have not got the payments since 2017-18. He said that Congress party will fight for the rights and powers of PRIs.
Shahnawaz Choudhary in his address to elected PRIs said that Sankalp Shivir will help us to strengthen party at grass root level and will also help us in identifying leaders which can trained for next level. He said that such trainings of elected PRIs will help them in serving common people who elect them and also taking ideology of party from door to door.
