BJP will sweep Lok Sabha polls in J&K: Ravinder Raina

Jammu and Kashmir 30 Dec: Jammu and Kashmir BJP, under State President Ravinder Raina, held 1-day convention of state office bearers, district prabharis, district & morcha presidents, and Vistaraks at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, on Saturday.
BJP National general secretary and J&K Prabhari Tarun Chugh, National Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, general secretary (org.) Ashok Koul, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former MP Shamsher Singh Manhas, former minister Sat Sharma, general secretaries Vibodh Gupta and Dr. Devinder Manyal addressed different sessions of this day long convention.
Tarun Chugh, while addressing the convention, said that the party is in election mode from top to bottom. As far J&K, it is high time to work hard and register massive victory. BJP activists have to make people aware of the wrongdoings of the past governments before the abrogation of Article 370 and also expose the role of parties of three families, which pushed this state towards uncertainty and kept it under development.
Stressing upon the party leadership to set a target of securing 51 per cent of votes in the future elections in the UT, Tarun Chugh said that an effective road map has to be formulated without any delay to achieve the desired results. He also spoke on the importance of J&K for BJP, saying that this border UT is not just a piece of land but the crown of mother India with which every activist of the party has emotional attachment.
Ravinder Raina, in his welcome address, said that the BJP’s splendid victory in recently held elections in three states has given a boost to party activists in J&K also and the people too are in a mood to support and vote for it. He said that each one of us has to contribute in making the target of 400 seats in 2024 elections true.

He also spoke on Booth Jan Samvad programmes, terming such events as opportunities for direct interaction with the general public at booth level. He further said that Modi ki guarantee ki gadi, the LED fixed van under ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ Abhiyaan is proving very effective in convincing the people that the Narendra Modi government has brought revolution in different fields in the country and changed the lives of the people. He was of the view that reaching the doorsteps of the people and educating them about the pro-people, pro-development policies of PM Narendra Modi are reflective of the concern of the union government for the overall development, peace and prosperity.
Dr. Narinder Singh termed the victory of the party in three states as the reliability of the Modi government plus the time bound hardwork of party activists at the ground level. He stressed on the decentralization of duties and work among the party activists to achieve effective implementation of public welfare schemes of the Modi government at the ground level, while carrying the party policies and schemes to the people.
Ashok Koul, while speaking in the convention, shared the salient features of the 22-23 December meeting held at New Delhi, and said that our full attention is to be on 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The party activists have to mobilize the people at grass-root level, contact the poor and needy people, make them aware about various social welfare schemes, extend help in availing benefits if anyone could not apply in the past. The party leaders should also plan their stay in rural and far-flung areas to develop better liaison with the people. He also shared with the party activists the forthcoming party programmes.
Vibodh Gupta asked the party leaders present in the convention to ensure that maximum people join the party activists in their respective areas to listen to PM’s Mann ki Baat monthly radio broadcast.
Former MLA Devinder Rana presented a 16-point political resolution carrying the party’s vision and policies. It was seconded by Vice-President Sham Lal Sharma and unanimously adopted after introduction of suggestions.
Dr. Devinder Manyal conducted the proceedings of the convention. He also presented a Power Point Programme analyzing the party’s victory in 3 assembly elections.
