BJP’s decade-long rule failed to deliver promised ‘Acche Din’ to people: Uday Chib
Urges people to support Congress in ensuing political battle in J&K
Jammu, July 31: BJP’s decade-long rule has not brought the promised ‘Acche Din’ to the people of this region. Despite grand promises of economic development, improved infrastructure, and enhanced public services, the ground reality paints a starkly different picture.
This was stated by Uday Chib, General Secretary of Indian Youth Congress while addressing a public meeting held at Village Kala Kaam in the Jammu North assembly segment. The meeting witnessed a significant turnout of residents eager to voice their grievances and seek solutions. Rashpal Lal , Surinder Kumar, Madan Singh, Kaka Ram, Pummy Manhas, Fiaz Diwan, Tarun Vaid, Sunil Rajput and Jung Bahadur were also present.
The residents of Kala Kaam shared their plight with the senior Congress leader, detailing the severe hardships they face due to the acute scarcity of power supply. The precarious situation of live wires posing great threats to public safety was a major concern. Additionally, the villagers highlighted the poor condition of roads, which has made daily life increasingly challenging.
Addressing the gathering, Uday Chib criticized the BJP government at the Centre, lambasting their failure to fulfill their lofty promises. “The BJP’s decade-long rule has left the people of this region in a lurch, struggling with inadequate power supply and dangerous living conditions. The poor state of infrastructure is a testament to their neglect,” he asserted.
Uday further criticized the BJP for their inability to provide even the most basic amenities during their tenure. “For ten years, the BJP has failed to address the fundamental needs of the people. The promise of ‘Acche Din’ remains unfulfilled as our people continue to suffer,” he added.
In his fervent appeal to the villagers, Uday Chib urged them to support the Congress party in the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. He assured the gathering that the Congress party is committed to prioritizing their issues and bringing about substantial improvements. “The Congress party stands with you and pledges to resolve these critical issues. Your support is vital for us to bring the change you deserve,” he emphasized.
