BJP’s ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ campaign to strengthen ‘Unity in Diversity’: Sat Sharma

Jammu, April 26, 2025: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir led by its President Sat Sharma CA held a meeting on “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat” Abhiyan at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Baldev Singh Billawaria, former Dy Mayor & J&K Incharge for “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat” Abhiyan along with Abhiyan Co-convenors Brijeshwar Singh Rana, Prabhari BJP organizational District Akhnoor, & Gopal Mahajan, and administrative District Jammu Convenor Munish Khajuria, Seh-Prabhari organizational District Samba, and administrative District Jammu Co-Convenor Akash Chopra, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, State Media Incharge, J&K BJP and senior leader Jaideep Sambyal were also present in the meeting.

While addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma said that the BJP, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continues to champion national integration through its flagship initiative “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” He said that the campaign is launched to celebrate and promote India’s vibrant cultural diversity, and aims to build lasting bonds between citizens from different states and regions.

Sharma said that through structured cultural exchanges, language learning drives, student interactions, and tourism promotion, the initiative fosters a spirit of mutual understanding and respect. He asked the Abhiyan team members to promote pairing of people from diverse regions to share heritage, traditions, and experiences, thus creating a robust emotional connection among the people of India.

Sat Sharma further said that the “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” is not just a cultural program, rather it is a mission to strengthen the idea of ‘Unity in Diversity.’ By encouraging people-to-people connections, it nurtures a deeper appreciation of the country’s rich heritage while reaffirming the commitment to a united, prosperous India.

This initiative reaffirms the Modi government’s dedication to building a more cohesive and inclusive nation where diversity is celebrated as a source of strength” said Sat Sharma, while prompting the BJP’s “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat” Abhiyan team members to invite people from different states, as well as institutions, and organizations to actively participate in the programmes organized by them.

In response to the call by the BJP President, the “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat” Abhiyan team pledged their wholehearted commitment to strengthening national unity. They also emphasized the vital role of the media in advancing the noble mission of “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat.”
