Bootlegger held with 24 Bottles of JK Desi Whiskey in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, 15 January 2024: In a relentless pursuit to eradicate the menace of illicit liquor trade, Kishtwar Police apprehended one more notorious bootlegger and seized 24 bottles of JK Desi Whiskey 750 ml each.

Police party from PS Kishtwar, led by SHO kishtwar Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, during routine patrolling and naka checking. The Naka party intercepted one vehicle bearing registration no JK17A-5424 during checking 24 bottles of illicit JK Desi Whiskey 750 ml each were recovered from his possession.

The accused, identified as Rahul Kumar,S/o Rakesh Kumar, resident of Damna Dool Kishtwar. In this regard case, FIR number 15/2024 under Section 48(a) Excise Act, registered at PS Kishtwar, and the investigation was taken up.
