BSP Candidate from Udhampur West withdraws joins Congress

Jammu, Sept. 18 : OBCs have expressed gratitude to the congress party for including all major demands of OBC communities in the election manifesto of J&K and said that only congress party under the leadership of shri Rahul Gandhi can do justice to them and all sections of people.

Addressing press conference  here today, Shri Madan Lal Chalotra Chairman JKPCC OBC, Vijay Manhas  Ex-Member OBC Board & others while  whelcoming  Shri Om Prakash who withdrew from the contest as BSP Candidate in Udhampur West into the Congress Party, they extended their  heartfelt gratitude to our Nyay Yodha, Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji ( hon,ble   leader of opposition),Shri Mallikarjun kharge ji (hon’ble president Indian National Congress ), Shri K.C Venugopal ji (General Secretary, AICC), Shri Bharatsinh Solanki (AICC, Incharge J&K), Capt. Ajay Singh Yadav Ji (Chairman OBC Dept. AICC), Shri Manoj Yadav JI (Secretary AICC Incharge J&K), Jenab Tariq Hameed karra (President J&K Pradesh congress committee), Shri Tara Chand ji (working President JKPCC ) for considering the demands of the OBC community in the congress manifesto of Jammu and Kashmir. Their unwavering commitment to addressing needs of marginalized communities has opened new pathways for the empowerment and progress of OBC’s something we  have striving for since Indian’s independence. This step marks a significant milestone in ensuring the rights and representation of OBCs, SCs, STs, and minorities in the region.

A special thanks goes to PCC President Shri Tariq Hameed Karra, Chairman Manifesto Committee Prof. Saifu-ud-din Soz, Co-Chairman Shri Ravinder Sharma ji Sr.Vice President & chief spokesperson JKPCC and the National Manifesto Committee and other   dedicated manifesto committee members for their understanding of our concerns and subsequent reflects leadership that prioritizes the welfare of the people.

This is a historic first step of Jammu and Kashmir congress, demonstrating their clear inventions to serve the people of the state with justice and equality. The inclusion of the OBC demands in the manifesto signals the party’s commitment to implementing charges that will uplift these communities, providing them with opportunities long denied.

However, this journey has just begun. We urge every member of the OBC community to come forward and vote for congress – NC alliance in the J&K assembly elections. This is our chance to ensure that these promises are realized with the first two months of a congress govt. being formed in J&K. The dreams we have nurtured since independence –  dreams of justice, equality, and representation- can now we brought to life.

Shri Om Parkash (Ex –BDO ) ( BSP candidate from Udhampur  West who withdrew from contest after going through congress manifesto &joined congress today in presence of  Sr. Vice President, Chief  Spokesperson & Co – chairman of PCC manifesto committee Shri Ravinder Sharma, Vice President I/C HQ Ved Mahajan, General Secretary Narinder Sharma, Mulkh Raj Bhamagi and others.
