CAO Kishtwar conducts meeting with Farmers, Ex-PRI Members at Marwah, launches FPO Saturation Drive

KISHTWAR, JULY 20: The Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Kishtwar, Amjad Hussain Malik, held a meeting with farmers and ex-PRI members in the Yurdoo Panchayat of Marwah to discuss various activities of the Agriculture and Allied Departments in the aspirational block of Marwah.


During the meeting, CAO launched the Farmer Producer Organization saturation drive from Marwah, specifically targeting the FPOs of the Kishtwar District.


Members of the Himalayan Rajmash Farmers Producers Cooperative Ltd. actively participated in this significant initiative.


The CAO Kishtwar’s visit to the Marwah subdivision was part of his scheduled activities to monitor the overall development initiatives aimed at the socio-economic upliftment of the area.


His visit also included an assessment of the progress index of various projects and activities being implemented in the subdivision.


The FPO saturation drive is expected to strengthen the cooperative movement among farmers, providing them with better market access and increased bargaining power.


The CAO emphasized the importance of such interactions and initiatives in fostering a collaborative approach towards agricultural development.
