While speaking in various meetings enroute, Shri Tara Chand cautioned Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) not to test the patience of people of Jammu And Kashmir. He said nothing has been done by BJP Govts after 2014 on the name of development, employment avenue and control on the price rises. Recalling the congress regime, he said thousands of the local youths were engaged then against vacancies created in the name of Rehbr-e-Talim, Rehbr-e- Zirat, Rahbr-e-Khel, daily wagers, need basis and contractual etc, who are now without salaries for the last three to four years.
Educated unemployed are now feeling themselves cheated by present Govt. Various selection lists are being cancelled by the administration on the pretext of leakage by the selection agencies. Price rises of essential commodities are matter of concern now. Widows, handicapped and other beneficiaries are without pension from months together, the genuine cases are deprived from the pension who are lakhs in number , Tara Chand said.
Advocating early grant of full-fledged statehood for J&K , Former Dy C.M. said our Maharajas extended the boundaries of Dogra State to Gilgit but BJP led Centre Govt, shrinked boundaries of state to Union Territory. This is gift to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who gave 25 legislators to BJP for the prosperity of the area. Our prime property in Delhi and Chandigarh houses was gifted to Ladakh Houses and BJP legislators remained mute spectators. They have not utter even a single word to protect our property outside. He said, BJP should be ashamed of snatching money from common people in the name of property tax. But more tax Govt. will pick pocket from the poor populace of Jammu and Kashmir when they are already paying heavily income tax, sale tax, State Tax, GST, Road Tax and Toll Tax etc.
He said, it was only congress led govt. which always drafted pro-poor and people friendly policies in the interest of common man. Property tax was also brought by officers in 2010 before Congress-NC Govt. but it was state forwardly rejected by Govt.
