CBI arrests four people including two MCD employees for bribery
New Delhi [India], August 1 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended four accused including a Beldar and a mate of North MCD and two touts, working at the Nangloi Office of Sub-Registrar, in two separate cases of bribery.
The first case was registered by CBI against an accused Beldar, North MCD, Delhi on allegations that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs 70,000 from the complainant for allowing unhindered construction of his house in Nihal Vihar, Shahadara North. After negotiation, the accused agreed to accept a bribe of Rs. 65,000.
The CBI laid a trap and caught accused Beldar Rajkumar and mate Ajay Kumar Goswami, both of North MCD, Delhi red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 65,000 from the complainant.
They have been arrested and the investigation is underway.
The second case was registered by CBI against an accused who is a tout working at the Office of Sub-Registrar, Nangloi, Delhi on allegations that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 30,000 from the complainant for facilitating the execution of a gift deed by exercising his influence on Sub- Registrar. After negotiation, accused agreed to accept a bribe of Rs. 25,000.
The investigating agency laid a trap and caught the accused Kishan Rana and another tout Bhola, both working at Office Sub-Registrar, Nangloi, Delhi while demanding and accepting the bribe of Rs 25,000 from the complainant. They have been arrested. (ANI)
