CEC thanks PM, HM for constituting High Powered Committee on Ladakh
LEH, Jan 03: Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson extends his gratitude on behalf of the Hill Council, Leh, and the people of Leh district to the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Amit Shah for constituting a ‘High Powered Committee (HPC) to discuss measures to protect the unique culture and language, to ensure the protection of land and employment, to discuss measures for inclusive development and employment generation in the region and to empower both the LAHDCs of Leh and Kargil districts of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
CEC Gyalson further states that the Hon’ble Home Minister as committed earlier, has now issued official order of the framed committee and the CEC have full hope and trust in the union government headed by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi that the wishes and aspiration will and can only be fulfilled in his regime. He added that Ladakh was made a Union Territory under the leadership of PM Modi, and had we been not a UT then the desire of dreaming further would have never risen.
CEC Gyalson further extended his gratitude to LG Ladakh, R.K Mathur, and MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal for their tireless efforts in this regard.
