Central University Jammu Hosts Visit from Shri Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Govt Degree College, Samba

Samba, October 15: The Central University of Jammu (CUJ) welcomed students from Shri Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Government Degree College, Samba, on October 15, 2024. The visit involved 36 students from the B.Sc. Physics Department, accompanied by faculty members Dr. Renu Rajput, Dr. Sheetal Sharma, and Dr. Asha Sharma.

The group explored the Central Instrumentation Facility at the Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences (SDCSS), under the mentorship of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain.

The primary aim of the visit was to expose students to Space Science research and provide hands-on experience with advanced material characterization techniques. During the visit, students received practical introductions to high-end characterization equipment and learned about their various applications in research.

Prof. Vinay Kumar, Convener of SDCSS, and Prof. Suram Singh from the Department of Physics, along with their dedicated team members Mehak Mahajan (STA, CIF), Ayesha, and Bandhna, provided valuable insights and guidance throughout the session.
