Central University of Jammu Celebrates 75th Republic Day
Jammu, 26 Jan 2024: The 75th Republic Day of India was celebrated at the Central University of Jammu with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev jain hoisted the National Flag followed up by singing the national anthem with this Republic Day events started.
On the occasion, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev jain inaugurated the NCC Girls Wing, providing a platform for female students to actively participate in the National Cadet Corps activities.
In his address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain, while greeting the university fraternity, highlighted the university’s commitment to academic excellence, research, Startups and fostering a spirit of national pride among its students. Prof. Jain expressed his appreciation for the dedicated faculty members who have consistently contributed to the university’s academic excellence. He highlighted the significance of research projects undertaken by the faculty, emphasizing their impact on the academic and scientific community.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain mentioned in his speech about the University’s upcoming “Tawi Dhara” Community Radio Station, a pioneering initiative by CUJ. He underscored the importance of this platform in fostering community engagement, disseminating knowledge, and promoting local culture. Earlier, at the arrival of the Vice chancellor, the Guard of honour was presented by the University Security guards led by the Security Officer.
Following that, a grand celebration was organised in the university’s Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium with patriotic songs and other items by the students of NCC wing, Central University of jammu. At last the program concluded with the national anthem.
