Central University of Jammu (CUJ) inks MoU with Jammu Kashmir Study Centre (JKSC)

Jammu, July 15:  The Central University of Jammu and the Jammu Kashmir Study Centre have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on research and academics related to issues pertaining to Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh.

The MoU aims to foster a partnership between the two organizations, leveraging their expertise and resources to promote scholarly research, academic exchange, and informed discourse on the sociology-economic, legal, historical, environmental, cultural, legal and political dynamics of Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh.

The collaboration will focus on various aspects, including history, culture, politics, economy, and social dynamics. The  MoU was signed between Prof Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu and Sh Ashutosh Bhatnagar, Director of Jammu Kashmir Study Centre, Prof Yashwant Singh, Registrar, Central University of Jammu and Ajay Sharma, Academic Coordinator of Jammu and Kashmir Study Centre, who expressed their enthusiasm for the partnership and its potential to contribute to a deeper understanding of the region.

Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central university of Jammu On the occasion said “This collaboration will enable us to tap into each other’s strengths and expertise, leading to meaningful research and informed discussions on issues relevant to Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh ”.

Sh. Ashutosh Bhatnagar,  Director of Jammu Kashmir Study Centre said that “We look forward to working together to promote academic excellence and contribute to the region’s development”.

The MoU will facilitate joint research projects, seminars, workshops, and conferences, providing a platform for scholars, researchers, and stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue and knowledge sharing. Central University of Jammu also committed to bear the expenses of the field work carried out by the research scholars working on the research areas related to Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh. Dr Ajay Singh and Mr Jai Bhawani Singh were also present on the occasion.
