Central University of Jammu Placement Cell Organizes Guest Lecture

Jammu, 23 Sept 2024: The Training & Placement Office at Central University of Jammu under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain, successfully organized a guest lecture for B.Tech students in Electronics and Communication (ECE) and Computer Science (CSC) on the theme “How to Prepare for Career and Interviews.” This initiative aims to equip students with essential insights into real-world situations, providing them with specialized knowledge, practical skills, diverse perspectives, and valuable connections.

 Mr. Sandesh Kumar, General Manager and Global Head of Recruitment at Wipro, who visited CUJ campus to share his expertise. During his visit, Mr. Kumar announced that Wipro will soon establish a Centre of Excellence at the university. This centre will allow students to work on live projects, enhancing their employability as they gain practical experience and directly engage with industry standards. This collaboration is expected to significantly streamline the hiring process for students, offering them unparalleled exposure to the corporate world.

The event concluded with insightful remarks from Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar; Dr. Rakesh Kumar Jha, Professor (ECE); and Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Professor (CS-IT), along with other faculty members. Their encouragement underscores the university’s commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
