Chairman DDC Budgam visits Gurdwara Beerwah
Extends greetings over the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi
BUDGAM, April 15: The Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan visited Gurdwara Beerwah on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi.
The visit was aimed at extending his greetings and good wishes to the Sikh community on this joyous occasion. Chairman DDC was welcomed by the members of the Gurdwara management committee and was accompanied by a team of district officials.
During his visit, Chairman DDC interacted with the devotees. He also took a tour of the premises and inspected the arrangements made by the management for the smooth conduct of the festival.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DDC extended his warmest wishes to the Sikh community on the occasion of Baisakhi. This festival symbolizes the spirit of brotherhood, unity and compassion, and reinforces the bond of communal harmony and peace in the society, he added
He further said that the District Administration is committed to ensuring that all communities can celebrate their festivals in a peaceful and conducive environment. We have made all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the festival, and I urge everyone to celebrate it with joy and harmony, he added.
