Chairman DDC, DC Reasi conduct extensive tour of Block Bhomag, review development works, holds Block Diwas at Sari
REASI, March 15: Chairman DDC Reasi, Saraf Singh Nag along with Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babila Rakwal today conducted an extensive tour of Block Bhomag and held a Public Grievances Redressal camp at Sari.
The Deputy Commissioner Babila Rakwal was accompanied by PO ICDs Anwar Bandey ACD Anirudh Rai, CHO Brij Vallabh Gupta, CAO, CEO, CAHO, DSHO, Tehsildar Bhomag Suresh Singh and other district officers along with PRIs and local public of the area.
At the outset, Chairman DDC along with DC Reasi inaugurated the Ultra High Density Apple Orchard in 10 kanal areas which was planted with the hectic efforts of Horticulture Department with the coordination of PRIs and locals of the area.
Saraf Singh interacted with the PRIs and locals, listened to their grievances and directed the concerned officers to ensure timely redress of genuine / projected issues. He assured the PRIs and public that all genuine demands would be addressed in a time bound manner.
Main issues discussed during the camp were regarding JJM for non-installation of water pipes and scarcity of water in the Sari area on which DC gave directions to submit a factual report in a week’s time and made alternate arrangement of water from nearby sources.
Another issue raised regarding bad condition of PMGSY road due to landslides by which Reasi to Sari via Moongri Road because of which public and students of the respective areas are suffering, on which DC gave the directions to identify the sliding zones/ spots and other necessary modalities to restore road of the area by putting burst wall and crates and to submit regular weekly progress report.
DC directed the concerned Executive Engineers for timely completion of work under JJM schemes so that public could be benefitted and also directed Rural Development Department to focus on development of water bodies with active participation of PRIs.
Chairman DDC Saraf Singh asked the officers to stay in touch with public and get their feedback. He stressed upon the need to ensure that issues at local level are promptly identified and addressed at the earliest.
