Chairperson DDC Ramban kick starts work on Rs 6.33 crore
PMGSY road project, Rs. 3 crore JJM tube well project in Subdivision Gool
RAMBAN, February 24: Chairperson District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan today conducted an extensive tour of sub Division Gool to listen to the issues of the general public besides reviewing the development scenario of the area.
The Chairperson kick started the up-gradation work on 6.1 km Faridabad to Hara via Moila road under PMGSY phase- III estimated to cost Rs 6.33 crore. AEE, PMGSY, Naveed Aslam and PRIs were also present on the occasion.
Launching the construction work on the Rs 3 crore Jal Jeevan Mission Tube Well project at Dharam, the Chairperson said that about 7000 souls will be benefited with the completion of this major project.
Dr. Shan informed that a successful trial run of Bus has been conducted between Dharam to Gool to restore vehicular connectivity to Gool with district headquarters. She also communicated the OC 52 RCC (GREF) to start work on a 500 metre stretch damaged at Duksar for immediate restoration and pave way for seamless traffic on Ramban-Gool Road.
Earlier, the Chairperson along with senior officers also distributed fully-loaded ration kits provided by the IRCON Railway among the 16 affected families of sinking of land at Duksar Dalwa.
Meanwhile, people also highlighted various issues including completion of construction on building of Government Degree College, Gool and up gradation of Higher Secondary Schools including Government High School Dharam, Ind and Mahakund, start of functioning of Bank Branch at Dharma besides other local issues.
The Chairperson said that all these issues have already been taken up with the concerned authorities and to be resolved on priority basis.
