CHC, Khaltse conducts  MMU camp at Ursi in Ladakh

Khaltse, February 07, 2025: Community Health Center (CHC), Khaltse conducted a MMU (Mobile Medical Unit) camp at Ursi village of Singaylalok block, under the supervision of Block Medical Officer (BMO), Khaltse Dr. Shamim Ahmad, yesterday on 06, February 2025.

The team comprised of Medical Officer, Dr. Adnan Shah, Dental Surgeon, Dr. Nilza Angmo, NCD Counselor, Toldan, Laboratory Assistant, Sonam Thinlay and FMPHW RBSK, Padma Dolker.

The primary objective of the camp was to screen for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes, malnutrition and anemia. The main aim was to ensure early detection and intervention for the local community, promoting better health outcomes.

A total of 49 patients attended the camp, with 28, General OPD patients, 21  Dental OPD patients.
Additionally, 49 NCD screenings were performed and 53 laboratory tests were conducted during the said camp.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the Block Medical Officer, Khaltse, in ensuring accessible healthcare for all, especially in remote areas.
