Chhattisgarh CM Sai meets Union Minister Mandaviya, discusses development schemes
New Delhi [India], July 17 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy CM Vijay Sharma met on Wednesday with Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to discuss various development schemes and new projects underway in Chhattisgarh.
“Today, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with Union Minister of Labor, Employment, Youth, and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya at his residence in New Delhi to discuss various development schemes and new projects underway in the state of Chhattisgarh,” as per a press release.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Sai informed Dr Mandaviya about the progress made in the fields of labor, employment, and sports in the state. He mentioned that the Chhattisgarh government has implemented several important measures to protect the interests of workers. These include an increase in minimum wages, implementation of labor welfare schemes, and creation of new employment opportunities. The Chief Minister also requested more cooperation from the Central Government to reduce the rate of unemployment in the state.
“In the field of youth and sports, the Chief Minister informed that sports facilities are being expanded in the state. He said that the Chhattisgarh government has started various schemes to encourage sports talent in rural and tribal areas. The Chief Minister requested Dr Mandaviya to provide more support for these schemes to the Central Government so that the youth of the state can excel at the national and international level,” the release stated.
Mandaviya appreciated Chief Minister Sai’s efforts and praised the steps taken towards development in the state. He stated that the Central Government is prepared to provide all possible support to Chhattisgarh and offered necessary guidelines for the success of the schemes being implemented in the state.
“During this meeting, Chief Minister Sai requested the Central Government for employment generation, labour welfare, and expansion of sports facilities in Chhattisgarh,” as per the release.
