In an impressive display of efficiency and coordination, Child Helpline Ramban successfully rescued a kidnapped minor girl. On May 12, 2024, the helpline received a distressing call reporting the abduction of a minor girl from Langya Morh Bagna, Ramban. The caller alleged that a resident of Govindpora Maitra had kidnapped the girl and was holding her hostage at another residence in Village Kundi. Upon receiving the complaint, the Child Helpline, with the support of local police, launched a swift and decisive operation. At 11:30 PM, on the same day, they conducted a raid on the specified residence, successfully rescuing the minor girl.

Following her rescue, the child was presented before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), which, after completing all necessary formalities, placed her in the Child Care Institution Parisha. Ultimately, the minor girl was reunited with her family, bringing a joyous conclusion to a potentially tragic situation.

Similarly, Child Helpline Ramban successfully located and rescued a missing minor girl at Banihal Railway Station on 15 June, 2024.
