Cleanliness drive conducted at Bhim Garh Fort
REASI, July 07: To maintain clean surroundings at the Historical monument, Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal today launched a cleanliness drive here in Bhim Garh Fort.
Babila Rakwal exhorted District Officers to support the initiative of the district administration. She said the participation of the locals was also necessary to maintain the pristine glory of the historical fort.
Talking about the historical significance of the place, the Deputy Commissioner said, “BhimGarh Fort was constructed by Rajput king Bhimdev Rasyal of Reasi using Clay.”Later one of the heirs of Raja Rishipal Rana reconstructed it using stone. It is our prime duty to keep this place clean and green”, the DC said.
For conducting daily cleanliness operations in the fort, the DC Reasi has issued a monthly schedule involving all the departments. As per the roaster, one department is required to clean the Fort on a particular day and date which is clearly specified in the roaster.
The campaign was started today by the Agriculture department Reasi.
The staff of the Agriculture department led by Chief Agriculture Officer Harbans Singh conducted the cleanliness drive.
