Cleanliness Drive conducted in GDC Vijaypur under Mission-LIFE, G20
SAMBA, May 25: The importance of cleanliness in our lives cannot be denied. Maintaining a clean environment is for the health of all humans, as their health completely depends on the atmosphere. To promote habits of cleanliness, Eco Club and NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Government Degree College Vijaypur, under the banner of Mission-LiFE and G20, organised a Cleanliness Drive on the College campus.
The program was organized under the guidance of Prof. Vandana Gupta, Principal GDC Vijaypur. She extorted that Cleanliness is a habit not an act. Effective cleaning should be an important part of a greater plan to create healthier indoor environments by eliminating the contaminants that can make people sick. Lack of hygiene and cleanliness is an open invitation to infectious disease. She further added that maintaining a clean environment is for the health of all humans, as their health completely depends on the atmosphere. All the students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm to make the event a success.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Shittal Sharma (Convener NSS) and Prof. Poonam Kundan (Convener Eco Club) and co-coordinated by Dr.Gunjeet Mahiwal, Sonia Devi, Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Amanpreet Kour, Yograj Singh, Adeeti Anthel, Sandhya Bhagat, and Dr. Bandana Khajuria.
Refreshments were given to all the participants.
