Cleanliness drive conducted in various Halqa Panchayats

LEH, March 5: An awareness programme & cleanliness drive was conducted at Panchayat Taru in presence of Block Development Officer, Nimmo, Dr Sarwar Shahzad under the banner  ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ as per schedule.

During the cleanliness drive, black spots around Taru nallah were cleaned & waste was transported to the nearby Solid Resource Management Centre (SRMC) for processing.

Also, a cleanliness drive was held in Halqa Panchayat Wanla-A School of Block Nimmo where school Children of Govt H/S Wanla participated along with the staff of the Rural Development Department.

Similarly, cleanliness-cum-awareness drive was conducted in Panchayat Hemya & Panchayat Kungyam of Block Rong.

Cleanliness drive-cum-awareness programmes are going on in the entire District of Leh.
