CM Bhupendra Patel to lead state-level Independence Day celebrations in Gujarat
Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], August 12 (ANI): The state-level ceremony in Gujarat for Independence Day 2024 will be held in Nadiad, Kheda district, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on August 15, according to an official release.
Gujarat Assembly Speaker Shankarbhai Chaudhary will hoist the flag in Banaskantha, while state cabinet members and district collectors will hoist flags at various district headquarters, the General Administration Department’s release said.
Among the cabinet ministers, Kanubhai Desai will hoist the national flag in Surat, Rishikeshbhai Patel in Mehsana, Raghavjibhai Patel in Junagadh, Balvantsinh Rajput in Kutch, Kunwarjibhai Bavaliya in Amreli, Mulubhai Bera in Botad, Kuberbhai Dindor in Sabarkantha, and Bhanuben Babariya in Gir Somnath district headquarters.
Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Jethabhai Ahir (Bharwad) is scheduled to hoist the flag at the Panchmahal district headquarters, it said.
Additionally, among the state ministers, Harsh Sanghavi will hoist the flag in Vadodara, while Jagdish Vishwakarma in Valsad, Parshottambhai Solanki in Bhavnagar, Bachubhai Khabad in Dahod, Mukeshbhai Patel in Tapi, Prafullbhai Panseriya in Dang, Bhikhusinhji Parmar in Devbhumi Dwarka, and Kunwarjibhai Halpati will hoist the flag at the Navsari district headquarters.
According to the General Administration Department’s release, flag-hoisting ceremonies at Anand, Porbandar, Chhota Udepur, Aravalli, Patan, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Ahmedabad, Surendranagar, Morbi, Mahisagar, Gandhinagar, Narmada, and Bharuch district headquarters will be held under the chairmanship of the respective district collectors.
