CM Dhami honours 22 selected participants of UPSC

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 17 (ANI): Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday in collaboration with Sankalp Foundation honoured 22 selected participants of civil and forest services and their parents in the felicitation ceremony of the participants selected in the civil service of 2024 at IRDT Auditorium Survey Chowk.

The Chief Minister said that the construction of a new India has started under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The role of these young civil officers would be important in what the new India will be like, and what will be our institutions and policies.

The work of giving immortality to the Amritkaal of the country is also to be done through young officers.

He further added that by becoming the new administrative servants of the 21st century, the officers would become the main charioteers in making a developed India by bringing changes in the system.

The Chief Minister also expected the young officers to become true protectors of the country’s culture by becoming good administrative officers. He said that by discharging their responsibilities with honesty and integrity, their good work will be recognized and the path to success in life will be paved.

He called upon the young officers and said that they had pledged to serve the country with civil service. Further, he said that to make the decisions of the young officers beneficial for all sections of society, they would have to make efforts to bring about a change in the work culture and to bring about a change in the work culture of working from 10 to 5 by becoming a Mission Karmayogi.

Dhami also said that the civil officers had an opportunity to serve this great country and that they would have to contribute to strengthening the soul of the country by becoming helpful in facing the challenges faced by the country.

Additionally, he praised the efforts of Sankalp Parivar and said that this time 686 youths have been selected in the civil service by joining Sankalp. This is the result of the excellent guidance of Sankalp.

Former Chief Secretary Shatrughan Singh cautioned the future officers of the civil service and said that they should not fall prey to any misunderstanding.

Quoting Kautilya’s economics, scientist Einstein and writer Lal Shukla’s thoughts, he said that civil service is not a means of earning money. He further said that the youth should give their best and along with expanding the scope of studies of various subjects, he also stressed paying attention to acquiring knowledge around them.
