CMO Doda reviews achievements under NCD implementation at virtual meeting

DODA, March 03: Chief Medical Officer, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar convened a virtual meeting with BMOs, FMPHWs, MLHPs & Block NCD I/Cs of the District to review achievement with regard to NCD implementation in each Medical Block.

The CMO said that Non Communicable Diseases are responsible for 60% of deaths which are mainly due to lifestyle change. He emphasized the need to make serious efforts to identify such patients through mass screening for early treatment and necessary follow ups.

On the occasion, a detailed Power Point Presentation was given by DPM NHM Jahangir Mehta along with DMEO NHM C K Shan, on the status of population based screening for NCDs, diagnosis & follow up treatment.

The CMO emphasized on uploading the data on the NCD portal as per the target set for each medical block in a time bound manner. He instructed the BMOs to ensure the timely completion of the task related to NCD by each health facility of their block.

Meanwhile, to assess the quality of healthcare services and patient care, Chief Medical Officer Dr Ab Hamid Zargar paid a surprise visit to Primary Health Centre Bhella, today.

The CMO inspected different sections of the hospital and took stock of the facilities being provided to the patients.

He advised the staff to perform their duties as per the roster and provide best patient care to people coming to the health institutions.
