CMO reviews preparation of Health institution in Doda amid fresh Covid-19 alert
DODA, DECEMBER 26: In wake of fresh alert issued by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr M.Y. Mir today convened a meeting of BMOs and Incharges of SDHs, PHC, SCs and HWCs to review the COVID-19 preparedness for early detection, isolation, testing and timely management of suspected and confirmed cases to contain outbreak of Corona variants.
The meeting was also attended by District Epidemiologist Umar Anayat, and Faizan A Tramboo and other staff of DSU IDSP Doda.
Dr Mir, while discussing the action plan to tackle the epidemic, emphasized the need to ensure strict vigil on the situation. Besides, he asked for keeping ready the infrastructure and requisite supplies to tackle any such cases.
The CMO reviewed in detail the available infrastructure, machinery and equipment including the status of testing capacity, availability of COVID essential diagnostics, COVID drugs and Oxygen Generation Plants in the District.
Moreover, the CMO impressed upon all the BMOs and Health Staff of the district to inform the District Administration and Health Department if anyone in their locality or in their close contact have a travel history of abroad or to any of the affected countries so that necessary action in advance will be taken to avoid any hue and cry.
Meanwhile, CMO Doda also reviewed the arrangements in place by the BMOs for conducting of COVID-19 Mock Drill preparedness.
