Commissioner Secretary IT participates in Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Sahar, Kathua

Distributes financial assistance among KCC, PMEGP, NRLM, MSME beneficiaries

KATHUA, DECEMBER 29: Commissioner Secretary, IT and Information, Prerna Puri, today participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at panchayat Sahar of block Kathua.

Deputy Commissioner, Rakesh Minhas, SSP, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman DDC, Raghunandan Singh, ACD, Kishore Singh Katoch, and other departmental heads besides officials were present on the occasion.

During the Yatra, the beneficiaries shared success stories concerning various prevailing Central Sector Schemes during the “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” session, attended by the Commissioner Secretary and other district officials.

Amidst these engagements, the Commissioner Secretary participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra proceedings, inspecting departmental stalls showcasing citizen centric beneficiary schemes. She administered the VBSY pledge to the participants.

While taking overview of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in the district, the Commissioner Secretary said VBSY has successfully touched over 200 panchayats in Kathua with the intent to saturate all the schemes on mission mode. She said the beneficiaries who have availed the benefits of government schemes act as ambassadors for carrying forward the message of the Prime Minister to pave the way for Developed India.

During the address, Commissioner Secretary emphasised the collective efforts of people, youth, officers and PRIs to materialize the vision of transformed developed India by 2047, emphasizing the crucial role of all stakeholders in this pursuit. She stressed the critical need to focus on infrastructure revamping, human resource development and social unity as the cornerstone of national development.

The event also featured screening of PM’s message on Viksit Bharat, besides distribution of IEC material.

Commissioner Secretary also handed over financial assistance to KCC, PMEGP, NRLM, and MSME beneficiaries besides giving away Abhinandan Patra to the PRIs for achieving ODF plus status.

Earlier, the Vice Chairman DDC Kathua Raghunandan Singh said the mission of making India a developed nation by 2047 can only be realized by the collective efforts of all stakeholders especially youth who are the architects for the developed and empowered India.
