SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09: The Commissioner SMC, Athar Amir Khan today took a momentous step towards eradicating corruption and promoting transparency by administering pledge to officers & officials at SMC central office, leading nationwide ‘Bhrashtachar Mukht’ campaign.

The pledge ceremony, held at the SMC Central Office, along with senior officers and employees, underscoring their commitment to upholding ethical standards within the organization.

Meanwhile, Commissioner SMC highlighted the online services offered by the SMC, showcasing the Corporation’s efforts to initiate technology for improved service delivery and convenience for the citizens of Srinagar City.

During the ceremony, Commissioner SMC emphasized the crucial role of transparency and accountability in governance. The Commissioner reiterated the SMC’s dedication to foster a work environment that is free from corruption, ensuring the highest level of integrity in its conduct.

The “BHARASHTACHAR MUKT” campaign aims to engage all employees and stakeholders of the SMC in a collective effort to combat corruption.

 It seeks to raise awareness, build capacity, and implement robust anti-corruption measures within the organization, by promoting a culture of integrity and ethical practices.

The Services offered by SMC’s online includes Birth certificates, Building Permissions, Community Hall Services, Compost Services, Sanitation Services, Revenue Services etc and transparent procurement processes.
