Concluding function of Road Safety week held in Poonch

POONCH, January 17: A concluding programme on Road safety week was today held at Tehsil Surankote of District Poonch.

The programme was attended by ARTO, Basharat Mahmood, MVI Gurmeet Singh Bali , officials of MVD, SO Traffic Surankote, president Brooke Mandal Surankote and many others.

Speaking on the occasion, the ARTO advised drivers to follow road safety principles while driving. He advised them to wear seat belts, drive within speed limits and not to overload the vehicles. Emphasis was laid on wearing helmets.

Inspector Gurmeet Singh Bali speaking on the occasion said that the aim of the road safety week is to inculcate safety habits amongst the drivers and vehicle owners so that precious lives can be saved from accidents.

Later, Helmets were distributed among the two wheeler  riders.
