Conduct Of Disaster Management Related Mock Exercise At Jammu Airport

JAMMU, February 19: Airports Authority of India (AAI), in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), conducted a Disaster Management related Mock ExerciseatJammu Airport on February 18-19, 2025. Multiple agencies including NDMA, JKDMA, NDRF, JKDRF, DDMA, IAF, Indian Army, BSF, CRPF, CISF, Civil Defence, Police Dept., Health and Medical, Fire Dept., BSNL, JKPDD, IOCL, HPCL, Aapda Mitra and all other stakeholders actively participated in the drill.

NDRF, JKDRF and Indian Army showcased an Exhibition featuring various state of the art rescue equipment and tools along with their practical demonstration. The exercise simulated a real-life Earthquake scenario to test the rescue operation and coordination among all agencies. Fire vehicles and Ambulances demonstrated their expertise and preparedness to tackle such emergencies effectively. Airport Director Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Garg expressed his gratitude for the efforts of all participating agencies and thanked Major General Ajay Kumar Verma, AVSM (Retd.), NDMA for selecting Jammu Airportfor this crucial preparedness exercise.
