Conducts tour of RS Pura and Suchetgarh constituencies
BJP Govt abandoned J&K people with their problems during its nine years nightmarish rule: Bhalla
RS Pura/ Suchetgarh, June 27, 2023:- JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla today conducted tour of various areas of RS Pura Jammu South and Sucetgarh constituencies. Prominent among those who accompanied former Minister include Sarpanch Hans Raj, Ajaib Singh Motton, Panch Des Raj, Janak Raj Manto, Ghara Ram Motton, Satpal Mandi, Naresh Kumar Kaith, Des Raj Kaith, Er. Suraj Matton, Anuragh Matton besides others. Meanwhile Bhalla also visited house of Young Rohit Kumar who couple of days ago got electrocuted to death at Gagian to express solidarity with the family as the deceased was lone bread earner for the family. Former Minister also visited village Satrian where mother-son duo got electrocuted and lost their lives and conveyed his deepest condolences to family and prayed to almighty to grant peace to departed souls in heaven.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla criticized the government for its failure in delivering its promises to the citizens. The nine years of the performance of the Modi government can be described as wastage of nine years as it had failed on all fronts, including the socio-economic front. Right from employment to fuel prices, GDP, agriculture, inflation, and public sector banks’ bad loans, the NDA Govt’s nine years performances has been marked by failure and broken promises, expressed Bhalla.
The BJP came to power in 2014 with the promise to change the fortunes of the people of India with the promise to bring ‘acche din’. Nine years later, the people of the country are still waiting for the acche din. The Modi government sold ‘acche din’ dream which was never fulfilled and the NDA government false promises have now been exposed. This government is responsible for the ‘poor’ economic indicators of the country. In the past nine years, the only achievement of the Modi Govt is creation of social tension, controversial statements by MPs and leaders of the BJP party.
Bhalla said stagnation of industry has been consistently falling and inflation, particularly food inflation, is very high. On top of that, the promise of creating two crore jobs on early basis was never fulfilled. Unemployment is rampant. Make in India remains merely a slogan. No progress has been made on the smart cities front. All schemes have been renamed and repacked; from Nirmal Bharat to Swachh Bharat, Planning Commission to NitiAayog, National Mission of financial inclusion to Jan Dhan. They (Modi government) cannot conceive any new scheme, they are masters of repackaging.BJP government’s foreign policy is consistently inconsistent. The NDA Govt has no policy with Pakistan and China. Some day they speak for talks with the neighbouring countries and other day they speak just the opposite. This inconsistent policy is creating great harm to the country.
Bhalla observed that though, the Congress party was not against the implementation of the Goods & Services Taxes (GST). But the ill-prepared manner in which the GST was rolled out by the BJP Government, has not gone well with the people, particularly the small & middle call business community. The small and middle businessmen and traders are badly affected by the GST and in the long run the GST will cause massive unemployment and will have a negative effect on the country’s economy. The GST helps only the elite and rich. The Congress party has been staging protest against the unfriendly people’s policy of the Modi Government. The party will leave no stone unturned in exposing the BJP government anti-people policy by way of generating awareness among the masses, added Bhalla.
Bhalla hit out at the BJP government at the Centre, saying it made false promises to people and is running on “crutches of slogans”. Its intentions are suspicions and the public understands it very well. Former Minister claimed that BJP Government has become non- performing liability and has nothing to highlight as its achievements and except promises nothing has been done on the ground since 2014.He said that BJP Govt has abandoned people with their problems related to the basic amenities during its nightmarish rule, saying the promises made during 2014 Parliamentary and Assembly elections proved just hoax. Bhalla said BJP has shown only dismal performance, nothing short of befooling people to make noise on the plank of development of the J&K as if earlier Governments have done nothing for development in the J&K.
Bhalla said that Congress is the only alternative available to the people in J&K and now the public has made up mind to bring back Congress to power. The people of Jammu have experienced that BJP has cheated them on different emotional slogans and false promises only to achieve power but back-tracked on all those issues for the sake of power. The BJP exploited the people on different slogans on the name of religion, regions and castes but it was a tool to seek votes through these emotional issues.
Bhalla said that Modi Govt failed in J&K and the prevailing political and security scenario is the example of total failure of the Central Govt which left erstwhile state in total chaos. Bhalla asked party rank and file to expose the misdeeds and failures of the BJP by educating the masses whose problems have been complicated besides disturbing the social and secular fabric of J&K.Congress leader accused BJP Government of habitual in raking up controversies to divert the attention of the people from their failure to provide a credible Government in J&K. Government is creating controversies as per pre-planned strategy in order to keep the people engaged and to divert the attention of people from the utter failure of the Government in J&K.
Asserting that Jammu and Kashmir residents want the restoration of their “honour and dignity”, Bhalla demanded holding the much-delayed assembly elections in the Union Territory for the “empowerment of the people”. “The people across Jammu and Kashmir are feeling disempowered by the bureaucratic regime. On the other hand, the unnecessary delay in holding assembly elections has given rise to a feeling of alienation among the people that needs to be addressed at the earliest,” Bhalla said.Bhalla alleged that the basic needs of the people — be it electricity, drinking water, roads, infrastructure for hospitals and educational institutions — are not available due to the poor response from Govt.
