Says Congress deprived women of equal rights for 70 years

Scores of women joined BJP today

JAMMU, January 20: Priya Sethi, National Executive Member Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former minister while countering the Congress party on Rahul’s so called ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ has questioned its leaders where was the Congress when the women of Jammu and Kashmir continued to be deprived of their due rights for more than 70 years and now it has started shedding crocodile tears to befool the people during the said Yatra.

She expressed this during a function at the Party Headquarters in which scores of women joined the BJP in her presence.

Among others present included BJP Vice President  Anuradha Charak, Distt President South Rekha Mahajan, Pushpinder Charak, Vivek Patyal, Divya Jain.

Large number of prominent social activists from Shahidi Chowk, Channi and other areas of Jammu along with their supporters joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Rita Devi, Neeraj Sharma, Keshav Dev, Ridham Gupta, Imran, Shelly Gupta, Sushma Arora, Kamlesh, Sunita, Maya, Joshish, Nitish Atri, Sonia, Seema, Girish, Mani Bhushan Thapa, Laksh Thapa, Kirti Thapa, Surinder Kumar, Baby Devi and others joined BJP on the occasion.

Former Minister Priya Sethi welcomed the scores of new women entrants into the party and briefed them about their duties and responsibilities. She said that women empowerment is the top priority of Modi regime and asked the new entrants to impress upon women folk to join the world’s largest political party BJP to make the nation the Super power of the world.

The senior BJP leader and former minister Priya Sethi  said that it was Shyama Prasad Mukherjee made the supreme sacrifice to get the obnoxious ‘Permit System’ abolished and now it is PM Modi’s conviction and visionary leadership that paved the way for showing the door to Art 370 and 35A thus fully integrating J&K with India with every person of J&K enjoying all the rights at par with the citizens across the nation.

Mocking at Rahul Gandhi-led ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, Priya Sethi said that it is the same Congress Party and its allies when during its governance Bharatiya Janata Party leaders were not allowed to go to hoist the National Flag in Srinagar, opposed and stopped the BJP’s Yatra besides taking three senior leaders Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Anant Kumar into police custody at Jammu Airport and then forcibly sent to Pathankot.

She said that it is really an irony of the nation that Congress having established its vote bank adopting the policy of divide and rule in today taking out the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. She asserted that people have already understood the politics of deceit followed by this party and they can’t be befooled any more now.

Accusing the Congress party and its ilk of nurturing separatism and terrorism to become MPs and MLAs,  she said that today’s citizens across the nation are fully aware of the Congress misdeeds which is evidenced by the fact that as of today Congress party stands  decimated across the nation.
