Cong warns people against BJP’s divisive agenda 

Jammu, September 27: Lok Sabha member from Ludhiana and President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Congress (PPCC) Amrinder Singh Raja Brar today warned the people against the divisive politics of the BJP.

Addressing series public meetings in support of Congress candidates in different parts of the Jammu district, Mr. Brar regretted that instead of focusing on the real issue BJP shamelessly indulged in diving the society to divert the attention of the people from basic issues.

Amarinder Singh Raja Brar addressed public meetings at RS Pura Jammu South, Suchetgarh, Jammu West, and Bahu constituencies in support of party candidates Raman Bhalla, Bhushan Lal Dogra, Thakur Manmohan and Taranjit Singh Tony.

Congress leader Raja Brar sounded a warning bell for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, cautioning them against the deceitful tactics of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“ The BJP’s anti-poor policies have crippled the state, and it’s time for the people to take a stand”, he said.

“For over a decade, the BJP has been in power in Jammu and Kashmir, making tall promises but delivering nothing”, the Punjab Congress chief said.

“Their promise of 5 lakh jobs is just another hollow slogan to lure voters. However, the reality on the ground tells a different story. The BJP has failed to provide employment opportunities to the people, leaving them struggling to make ends meet”, he said.

“Unemployment is a critical issue plaguing the country, with over 70 crore people without jobs. This staggering figure is a testament to the BJP’s failure to address the problem”, the Lok Sabha member from Ludhiana pointed out adding, “The media’s silence on this issue is deafening, but the Congress party will not be silenced. We will continue to raise our voices against the BJP’s inaction”.

Cautioning people against the divisive agenda of the BJP, he said, “The BJP’s priorities are clear: they serve the interests of big business houses, allowing them to exploit Jammu and Kashmir’s resources and dominate key sectors like mining and liquor contracts”.

“But what about the people of Jammu and Kashmir? Don’t they deserve better governance? The BJP has failed to deliver on its promises, and it’s time to hold them accountable”, he regretted.

Reiterating resolve of the the Congress party to restore statehood in Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Brar said, 

“Restoring statehood is a critical issue for Jammu and Kashmir. However, the BJP has deliberately delayed it despite having the power to do so. This delay is a deliberate attempt to maintain their grip on the state, continuing to exploit its resources for their gain. But the people of Jammu and Kashmir will not be fooled”.

He further said that the Congress party’s priority is clear to defeat the BJP and save the country from their anti-poor policies. 

“We are jointly fighting elections with the BJP, and I urge all citizens to join us in this fight. Let’s reclaim our state’s dignity and prosperity”, he said.

“The BJP’s failures are starkly evident. They have failed to address unemployment, price rise, and lack of development”, the Congress leader said, adding, “ Instead, they have allowed big business houses to exploit the poor, with no checks on inflation. The BJP’s inaction has pushed our youth to the brink, and it’s time for a change”.

“We commit to creating sustainable employment opportunities for our youth, prioritizing inclusive growth that benefits all citizens, not just big business houses. We will fight tirelessly for the restoration of statehood, ensuring Jammu and Kashmir’s dignity and prosperity”, he further said and appealed to the voters to vote in favour of Congress candidates.
