Suffering of people increased manifold owing to BJP’s hollow policies: Bhalla
Jammu, August 21, 2023:- JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla on Monday slammed the BJP-led central government, saying its hollow policies have resulted in increasing the sufferings of the people. He criticized the BJP for hoodwinking public opinion by raking up residuary and emotive issues to divert the attention from its failures on all fronts. This was stated by Bhalla while leading another protest in Ward-5 Khatika Tallab accompanied by Yogesh Sawhney former Minister, InCharge District President Jammu Urban, Pranav Shagotra and Corporator Rittu Choudhary against installing smart meters and also host of other issues. Prominent among those present on the occasion include Farooq Mohd Slaria, Pawan Dev Singh, Anirudh Sawhney, Arif Malik, Atul Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Jaghir Bhatt, Shak Hazoor, Jugal Kishor, Shokat Khokar, Rasid Mir, Latif Sufi, Raju Thapa, Anil Kumar, Gurmeet Singh besides others.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said that BJP has nothing to offer to the people and therefore it has been shying away from focussing on the core issues.Bhalla reminded the BJP of the massive 2014 Jammu mandate for development and welfare and said that instead of doing a little bit in this regard they pushed the entire region to the wall. The developmental machinery came to a grinding halt and the utility services suffered major jolt due to the self-centred approach of the BJP leaders.”BJP has not understood the idea of Jammu and Kashmir”, Bhalla said while decrying the dubious tactics being employed to hoodwink public opinion. He referred to the bogies being created by the party and said this has neither worked in the past nor will create any magic for BJP in future. He said the upcoming polls will send a terse message to the BJP for pursuing the politics of deceit and hate that has caused enormous damage to the secular fabric of this land of Sufis and Saints.
Bhalla castigated BJP for indulging in rhetoric and playing unethical politics by scheming against the overall interests of people. JKPCC Working President hoped the people have not forgotten the BJP duplicity while expressing confidence that they will put their decisive decision on the day of reckoning. This is discernible by the mood prevailing during the forthcoming ULB polls, he said, adding that this will set a tone for the entire electoral process. He anticipated a big win for the Congress candidates. Terming the ruling BJP in Jammu and Kashmir a “zero performance government”, he said that the BJP-led regime had failed completely on all fronts due to its lack of experience to run the govt.Senior Congress leader claimed that all sections of society were suffering under BJP rule as promises made to them have turned out to be hollow.
Lashing out at BJP, Bhalla said that selection lists issued during BJP rule are totally biased as only 10 percent jobs have been provided to Jammu youth. BJP has become mute spectator on discrimination. He added that jobs to stone-throwers, kin of militants, had exposed the disgusting loyalty of the BJP with Jammu youth boiling with rage against its opportunistic politics. He said that the general public including traders, businessmen, farmers, unemployed, families of the martyrs, border residents besides daily wagers, casual workers, contractual lecturers, etc had been bearing the brunt of the discrimination in all spheres.J&K is going through turbulent times under this Govt,” Bhall said.
Bhalla alleged that Modi Govt failed to tackle unemployment in 9 years of its governance at the Centre. He said that today unemployment being at peak across the country reveals the incompetence and utter failure of the BJP Govt at the Centre despite having promised to provide an unprecedented number of jobs to the youth. He slammed the PM Modi Govt for its failure to create 2 cr jobs per year, a narrative created to just attract votes to hold the governance of the world’s largest democracy. He said that there are no result-oriented policies tailored for the youth as a result of which the future of the youth especially has been plunged into darkness. Moreover, in this Union Territory, the Administration has become a den of corruption with recruitment scams having further finished the scope of getting jobs for the youth of this disturbed region.
Yogesh Sawhney alleged that the present BJP Government is direction less due to absence of any public welfare in their respective agenda. This Government has only given rise to a situation of uncertainty, chaos and confusion, Sawhney said. He said the state was passing through the “worst ever misrule. Lashing out at BJP, Sawhney said, “Before the parliamentary elections, they had assured the people that if the BJP came to power, truckloads of financial help would be brought to J&K to make it prosperous, but instead of getting more financial assistance, the NDA government has broken backbone of common man with its anti-people policies. He said that it is an irony that the despite the BJP Govt having failed miserably on all fronts, the Party is misleading the nation and its people by celebrating the same under its ‘Maha Jan Samparak Abhiyan’ programme.
Corporator Ritu Choudhary said the BJP must conduct a fair introspection of its Government’s functioning and draw an unbiased conclusion. She asserted that a fair conclusion clearly shows that BJP Govt has achieved unprecedented success in creating a communal divide and spreading hatred across the nation. She said that the people have now understood the BJP’s game plan and they are waiting to teach it a lesson in the upcoming 2024 Parliamentary elections.
