Congress high command leads protest “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim & Jai Samvidhan” in Jammu
JAMMU, 18 Jan: Expressing solidarity even as resentment against the Government, Congress high command took to streets in Jammu yelling “Samvidhan Bachao Rashtriya Bachao”.
The prominent Congress leaders including Senior All India Congress Committee (AICC) leader and J&K Congress in-charge Bharatsinh Solanki, J&K Congress president Tariq Hameed Karra, All India Congress Committee General Secretary GA Mir, J&K Congress Working President Raman Bhalla, senior Congress leader Choudhary Lal Singh, senior Congress leader Tara Chand and many more were part of resolute protest.
The spirited protest rally was taken out from Mahatma Gandhi Satwari Chowk to Panama Chowk in Jammu showcasing the resentment against the Government for offending the Constitution.
Holding Congress flags along with placards reading Jai Bapu (Mahatma Gandhi), Jai Bhim (BR Ambedkar) & Jai Samvidhan (Constitution), the Congress senior leadership articulated to hold the Constitution in high regard. While marching, the Congress functionaries said that the incumbent regime has forgotten to respect the Constitution.
Bharatsinh Solanki reverberated Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim & Jai Samvidhan and said that the decision was taken by Congress Belgavi Working Committee to take rallies pan India. Bharatsinh Solanki said that the protests is aimed to generate cognizance among the people about Constitution
Solanki categorically said that there is need to shield the country from the forces that are destroying the secular fabric and in this regard the protest march is pertinent. This responsibility helmed by party stalwarts Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge.
GA Mir, while talking to media, said that this the initiative to put forward the principles of father of nation Mahatma Gandhi and safeguard the Constitution of India which is under threat. Mir unequivocally said that the coming days will witness Congress intensifying the adherence to path of Mahatma Gandhi, and BR Ambedkar.
Tariq Hameed Karra sought apology from the Central Government for the derogatory mention to Constitution in Parliament.
Raman Bhalla severely castigated the Central Government and said BJP-led Government is hellbent to create the fissures among the communities. Bhalla said we must not follow the roadmap of arrogance like the saffron brigade does.
