Congress holds protest dharna against  PDD  for  snapping connections

Jammu, June 10 : Senior congress  leader Sanjeev Panda ,Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee  expressed great disappointment against the Power Development Department (PDD) over its tyrannical decision to snap the power supply of the  people having inflated bills.

A strong protest dharna was held at Canal Head outside PDD office, which was organized by the congress workers lead by the Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee Sh. Sanjeev Panda. The protesting people from Jammu District assembled near the office and protested against PDD for shooting them with inflated power bills.

Sh Sanjeev Panda warned the PDD officials to resist from such unjustifiable decisions and immediately restore the connections of  the suffering people. He also demanded to the LG Administration to give some units of electricity free to the people on the similar lines of Himachal and Rajasthan Congress Governments.

Farmers who are having their crop season of  Paddy are facing huge difficulty as the PDD Department is desperate to snap their power supply. On the one side Government is showing its commitment that too in papers only to double their income but on the other side the PDD officials are forcing these poor farmers to starvation like situation as the entire crop will perish in the absence of basic facility of power.

Sh . Sanjeev Panda Warned the Government  officials to immediately stop such practices and threatened a larger agitation in case the issue is not resolved. He also said that  the farmers are the  pillars of the society and  the Government  must stop  the harassment of  them.
