Congress holds strong protest against seizure of Congress accounts

JAMMU, April 01:  Congress today held a strong protest demonstration in Jammu against the seizure of  the party’s accounts by the IT department and urged the President of India to intervene to save onslaught on democracy.

Leading the protest AICC Incharge Shri Bharatsinh Solanki alongwith JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani, AICC Joint Secretary Shri Manoj Yadav & Working President Shri Raman Bhalla and other senior leaders launched a frontal attack on the BJP for the systematic attack on the principal national opposition party-INC to financially cripple and eliminate the congress party from the ongoing election process by the illegal and  arbitrary seizure of the party’s accounts.

Raising the slogans against Modi Govt. and the IT department for their illegal and arbitrary action in order to financially eliminate the Congress party and termed it a direct assault on the democracy, for fear of loosing the elections. The police stopped the leading the march towards the IT department, at Shaheedi Chowk by placing barbed wires ahead of the march. The protestors were carrying placards against the BJP Govt. & the IT department for the “illegal” action and termed it as a fear of ruling party out of frustration of  loosing the elections.

Talking to media persons, Shri Solanki attacked the BJP & Modi Govt. for indulging into the arbitrary, illegal & vindictive action against the principle opposition party in the country, while other top  opposition leaders have been arrested or threatened by the ED action in the midst of general elections. This shows the utter frustration of the Modi Govt. and BJP seeing the writing on the Wall, after its failures of all fronts.

PCC President Vikar Rasool Wani hit out at the BJP for the vindictive actions against the congress party and entire opposition, as BJP is badly loosing the election. He said already the IT department has illegally & forcibly taken away the 135 crores from the accounts of congress party for a delay in filing return of 14.49 lacs donated by MPs/MLAs of the party.

BJP has collected huge funds through electoral bond scheme for itself and now trying to eliminate the other opposition from effective campaign the elections which is very dangerous for the existence of democracy. Shri Manoj Yadav strongly lashed out the Modi Govt & BJP for the direct assault on the opposition especially congress party and termed it an assault on the democracy. He said that people are being conveyed through the nationwide protests by the congress party about the designs of BJP & Modi Govt.

Congress Working President Lok Sabha candidate Raman Bhalla strongly hit out at BJP for its attempts to defeat the entire democratic process and the glorious traditions of our democracy. He termed it a dangerous trend and naked drama which is being watched by the entire world, as India is the largest democracy of the world.

Later a memorandum was submitted to the President of India through the District Magistrate Jammu on behalf of the entire rank and file of the party duly signed by AICC Incharge Jammu and Kashmir Shri Bharatsinh Solanki, JK PCC President Vikar Rasool & AICC joint Secretary Manoj Yadav. The memorandum was submitted by Shri Balwan Singh, Ravinder Sharma & Yogesh Sawhney. All senior functionaries of the PCC, DCC Urban and Jammu Rural, Frontal Wings and other senior leaders took part in the protest in large numbers.
