Congress launches Hath se Hath Yatra/agitation campaign
Solanki, Vikar, Bhalla, Mula, Chib ors Lead Yatra
JAMMu, March 5: Congress today launched the month-long “Hatha se Hath Yatra cum agitational programme “, from Janipur to Raipur, Jammu, to highlight the various issues especially to oppose property tax, bulldozer drive, price rise, rise unemployment, innocent killings &other problems faced by people, especially restoration of statehood and early assembly elections in J&K.
Led by former Union Minister and AICC Incharge Hath Se Hath Yatra campain in J&K, Bharat Singh Solanki, JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani, Working President Raman Bhalla, Former Ministers Mula Ram, Yogesh Sawhney, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Kanta Bhan, Kuldeep Verma besides other senior leaders, the Yatra was Organised by District Congress Jammu Rural, under the leadership of DCC President Th Hari Singh Chib while several other leaders, corporators, Ex councillors, sarpanchs, panches and large number of workers joined the Yatra. Prominent amongst them included Shashi Sharma, Dwarka Chaudhary, Ritu Chaudhary, Sanjeev Panda, Narinder Gupta, Suresh Dogra, Satish Sharma, Rajinder Happy, Vijay Shastri, Uttam Singh, Atul Sharma, Chander Shekhar & others.

They marched from Janipur to Raipur in Jammu North assembly along with hundreds of workers. The march started at 9 am &, covered main markets and highway area.
Addressing the gathering Bharat Singh Solanki said that the Hath se Hath Yatra cum agitational programme is the second phase of Bharat JodoYatra, which shall culminate at the end of this month, covering various districts and constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir.
Solanki said that main focus of this nation programme is to highlight the various issues of people faced in different parts like imposition of property tax, snathching lands from poor through bulldozer, unprecedented price hike, record unemployment and other arbitrary orders of government.
Vikar Rasool Wani lashed out at the government for the unprecedented price rise of all commodities especially LP gas, petrol, diesel, eatables making difficult for the poor to survive but LG adm has imposed property tax on common people which should be withdrawn.
He referred to the bulldozer drive against the common people who are in occupation for decades for livllihood. He demanded regularising the lands and shops of common man.
vikar Rasool Wani lashed out the BJP for giving miseries to the people of Jammu Kashmir by downgrading the historical state, removal of rights to lands and jobs, imposing huge taxes and large-scale unemployment and other arbitrary orders. The government fails to protect innocents especially minorities.
He demanded restoration of statehood and early assembly elections to restore democracy to solve people problems.
Raman Bhalla strongly opposed the property tax, eviction of poor and common man, check on price rise and rising unemployment and job scams. He expressed concern over continued targeted killings and arbitrary orders of UT administration.
Mula Ram charged BJP of crushing the people through arbitrary orders of the LG administration. The people are being deprived of the basic rights of democracy by not holding assembly elections for nearly four years. All kinds of taxes and unilateral decisions are being imposed upon people.
The Hari Singh Chib expressed gratitude to the people for the support to the Yatra cum agitational programme and said that more such protests shall continue.
