Congress SC, ST, OBC and Minority Wings hold protest over BJPs assault on Constitution at Ambedkar Chowk
JAMMU, April 01: Launching a month long Jai Bharat Satyagrah Campaign of the Congress party to take on the BJP Govt. for its assault on the Constitution and the democracy, the SC, ST, OBC and Minority Departments of the Congress party today held a strong protest demonstration before the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Statue at Ambedkar Chowk Jammu amidst heavy downpour.
The demonstration was jointly organized by the SC, ST,OBC and Minority Wing of the J&K PCC and led by Working President Shri Raman Bhalla accompanied by Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, EX-MLC Ved Mahajan besides SC Dept. Chairman Karan Bhagat, ST Dept. Chairman Hussain Ali Wafa, OBC Chairman Adv. Suresh Dogra and Minority Dept. Chairman S. Rajinder Singh Nathu. A large number of representatives of from these sections of the society held a strong protest demonstration over the attempts and attack on the Constitution and the Constitutional Institutions established and strengthen by the Congress party right from Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru strengthening the democracy in this country.
The peaceful protestors raised slogans “ LOK Tantar pe Hamla Band Karo, Rahoul Gandhi Age Bharo Ham Tumare Sth Hain “ besides in favour of Smt. Sonia Gandhi , Congress President Kharge Sahib, Priyanka Gandhi and others and declared that they shall not allow the Constitution and the democracy to be weakened.
Addressing the gathering Shri Raman Bhalla lashed out at the Modi Govt. and the BJP for serious assault on the constitution and the democracy during its regime. The disqualification of Shri Rahul Gandhi is an attempt to gag the voice of the opposition in the parliament but the BJP should know that the voice of people and the voice of Congress party and Rahul Gandhi can not be suppressed and it will be raised more vociferously in the streets of the country.
He said that Congress party shall not rest till the BJP Govt. is ousted and the voice of people is heard both inside the Parliament and outside in a free democracy. He said that the BJP will not succeed in its distortion and diversion to mislead the public.
Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma launched a scathing attack on the Modi Govt. for its anti democratic mind set and its continuous attempts to intimidate and threaten the opposition leaders especially the Congress party . He said that Shri Rahul Gandhi has been disqualified in view of his direct questions to Prime Minister Narinder Modi over the Adani issue.
Chairmen of SC, ST, OBC and Minority Departments also addressed the gatherings and pledged to take the fight to the streets of the country to safeguard the constitution and the democracy.
