Congress surviving on false dreams: Arvind Gupta

JAMMU, October 16: Terming the assertion of J&K Congress President that ‘Cong will be  single largest party in assembly elections’ as merely an attempt to keep united flock of its leaders & activists, BJP Secretary Arvind Gupta said that the party is surviving on false dreams. The revival of Congress in Jammu and Kashmir is totally impossible and its leaders too are aware of the reality. but they are making repeated statement of ‘comeback’  so that the party workers do not lose heart and remain stick to Congress.

Arvind Gupta said that gone are the days when the Congress used to gain votes of the people on false slogans and promises. In the present era of people have more and easily accessible modern means of communication and cannot be misled or be fooled.

The people are getting well aware of the past years, when Congress was in power at the centre and in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir and promoted dynastic rule and corruption, he said.

Arvind Gupta said that the ground realities are well indictors that is is not the Congress but Bharatiya Janata party (BJP), which will be the single largest party in the assembly election and form its government for the first time. He said that the BJP has always worked for development and welfare of all the sections of the society in every state and Union Territory.

He said that refugees, SCs, STs, border peoples, women etc were deprived of genuine rights during the Congress times. They were on roads for justice but no one cared. They were treated as second class citizens. Militancy had strengthened its roots in Jammu and Kashmir during the Congress, NC rule.

“When BJP came to power at the centre under Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014, it took bold and historic decisions to grant citizenship rights to refugees, restored property rights to daughters of the soil, provided political reservation to STs and adopted hard stand against militancy, which has resulted in return of peace and normalcy, the tourists are visiting J&K from across the world and J&K marching on the path of progress and prosperity”.

He expressed hope that the people will not fall prey to the false statements and claims of Congress and support BJP in elections.
