Congress to hold statehood protest march in Jammu on March 24
Jammu, March 22: Congress will hold a statehood protest march from Vikas Lane Talabtillo, Jammu on Monday evening, to press for restoration of statehood.
JKPCC President Shri Tariq Hameed Karra shall lead the march to press for the demand for restoration of statehood besides seeking redressal of various issues being faced by the common people including power, water, ration and other such issues shall be highlighted for the attention of the government besides regularization of daily wagers, need based, temporary, adhoc contractual, consolidated and others such category of workers.
In this connection a meeting of frontal wings of the party including youth Congress, Mahila Congress, NSUI and OBC was held at PCC HQ Jammu under the chairmanship of Working President Shri Raman Bhalla along with Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, Former Minister Yogesh Sawhney, Ved Mahajan (Ex-MLC) Incharge HQ, Narinder Sharma, Vijay Shastri, Sonu Dogra, Ricky Dalotra, Anirudh Sawhney, Nassir Masih, Sohit Sharma, Michael Wazir, Ram Prakash Magotra. Anuradha Sharma, and others, to mobilize the workers for the march on 24th March (Monday) from Vikas ane Talab Tillo onwards..
The protest march is being organized by the DCC President Jammu (Urban) Thakur Manmohan Singh Manhas with the coordination of Block and Ward Committees of Tallabtillo. March shall start at 4.30 P.M. from Vikas Lane. Senior leaders of PCC, Frontal Wings, DCC and Block Congress Committees shall participate. This shall be part of series of similar protests march from Monday (24th March) onwards in and around Jammu City under the banner of “Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq”.
